We&#8217;re talking about Movistar, the brand with which Telef\u00f3nica, one of the world telecommunication leaders, operates in Spain. The European country that leads smartphone market penetration rates where 81% of the users have smartphones (according to Telef\u00f3nica&#8217;s Foundation own <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/1KVWEoW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2014 Information Society in Spain report<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>That means many thousands of these messages every day telling literally their clients \u201cTelef\u00f3nica doesn\u2019t know the difference between a smartphone and an old mobile phone with a green button\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These kinds of details (if you consider many thousand messages every day to your clients a detail) definitely do not help to build a brand.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"950\" height=\"513\" src=\"https:\/\/lorenzobennassar.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/MOVISTAR.sms_.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lorenzobennassar.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/MOVISTAR.sms_.jpg 950w, https:\/\/lorenzobennassar.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/MOVISTAR.sms_-300x162.jpg 300w, https:\/\/lorenzobennassar.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/MOVISTAR.sms_-768x415.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 950px) 100vw, 950px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La tecla verde de mi m\u00f3vil<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Ultimamente, cada vez que tengo una llamada perdida recibo un mensaje de mi operador dici\u00e9ndome \u201cSi desea devolver la llamada pulse la tecla verde de su movil\u201d. Estamos hablando de Movistar, la marca con la que Telef\u00f3nica, uno de los l\u00edderes mundiales en telecomunicaciones opera en Espa\u00f1a. El pa\u00eds europeo que lidera los \u00edndices de penetraci\u00f3n de smartphones d\u00f3nde el 81% de los tel\u00e9fonos m\u00f3viles son smartphones (seg\u00fan el propio informe de la Fundaci\u00f3n Telef\u00f3nica \u201c<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/1KVWEoW\" target=\"_blank\">Sociedad de la Informaci\u00f3n en Espa\u00f1a 2014<\/a>\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eso quiere decir miles de estos mensajes cada d\u00eda diciendo literalmente a sus clientes \u201cTelef\u00f3nica no sabe cual es la diferencia entre un smartphone y un antiguo tel\u00e9fono m\u00f3vil con la tecla verde\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este tipo de detalles (si consideras miles de mensajes cada dia a tus clientes un detalle) definitivamente no ayudan a construir una marca.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lately, every time I get a missed call I receive a message from my carrier telling me I can \u201cpress directly the green button on my mobile\u201d to return the call.
