\nIt seems an internet as we know it could become something we can’t even dream of. It was just a matter of time, but once again numbers will help imagine the future.
\nCisco Systems just announced a new router (el CRS-3<\/a>) they say is able to reach speeds up to 322 terabytes per second. That means you could download the entire American congress library in about a second, 4 billion mp3 songs in one minute or every single movie ever made in 4 minutes.
\nThis could change a bit the way we communicate, even the way brands communicate \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

In the mean time, while we wait for “that”, Google announced their intention to build and test super high speed fiber-optic networks<\/a> (1 gigabyte per second) in some American communities. That’s why, until march the 26th (the deadline to apply for it), we will see some American mayors doing anything to call the search engine’s attention. So far we’ve seen, the city of Topeka changing it’s name to “Google” for one month and the mayor of Duluth, who has already swim in Lake Superior’s frozen water, has promised to name \u201cGoogle Fiber\u201d or \u201cGooglette Fiber\u201d one of their city newborns.<\/p>\n

\nY mientras llega “eso”, Google ha anunciado que pretende construir y probar redes super r\u00e1pidas de fibra \u00f3ptica<\/a> (1 giga por segundo) en algunas comunidades americanas. As\u00ed que hasta el 26 de marzo (fecha del cierre de candidaturas) podremos ver a algunos alcaldes americanos hacer cualquier cosa por llamar la atenci\u00f3n del buscador.
