After the monopoly that iTunes has meant to the new music business, it seems that Spotify really might represent an interesting alternative in the music industry to the new landscape of eCommerce. However, news such as that Lady Gaga has only received 167.00 U$ for the million reproductions of her song “Poker Face” on Spotify doesn’t help to imagine a very future friendly relationship between the recording industry and the artists.

Después del monopolio que suponía iTunes para el nuevo negocio de la música, parece que Spotify realmente se presenta como una alternativa interesante de la industria discográfica al nuevo panorama del comercio electrónico. Sin embargo datos como el que Lady Gaga sólo haya percibido 167 $ por el millón de reproducciones de su tema “Poker Face” en Spotify no auguran un futuro muy amistoso entre la industria discográfica y los artistas.
